Carolyn is responsible for managing the underwriting and new business processes from start to finish, including overseeing case management, verifying application requirements, and coordinating with agents and carriers to ensure accuracy and completeness. She also handles reviewing medical and underwriting details, verifying commission splits, regularly checking carrier portals to track application progress, and assisting with adverse decisions by finding alternative products or carriers. Additionally, Carolyn maintains strong relationships with carrier underwriters and case managers and keeps agents informed about application statuses.
Carolyn has a Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding and a Certificate as a Legal Assistant, and she is a licensed insurance agent in 21 states. With 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Carolyn has extensive knowledge of the insurance process, especially as it relates to the senior market. She understands the importance of communicating effectively, being a team player, and having compassion and empathy for the elderly.
Carolyn brings essential knowledge and vast industry expertise to her role. She is detail-oriented and determined to give 100% effort in every situation. Carolyn sees the good in everyone and appreciates being able to achieve a favorable outcome for agents and their clients. After seeing her father suffer from dementia and now being a caretaker for her mother, Carolyn truly understands the value of planning ahead with long-term care insurance.
Carolyn is originally from Hamilton Township, NJ. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Stephen and their blended family of children and grandchildren. She is involved in her church and volunteers for the community. Carolyn also likes karaoke and bowling with her friends and planning get-togethers with her loved ones.
